These ballpoint pens are designed and manufactured to highlight the material qualities of aluminum and brass. The final three aluminum pens have three types of surface finishing: sand-blasted, polished and brushed.
Machined with 6061 Aluminum and 360 Brass.
Project guidelines were to design and prototype 3 of the same object: one that I keep, one that I give to a friend, and one that I sell and give the proceeds to the Studio for Contemporary Craft. The project explores how "we might create objects that can endure beyond their present to exist across generations."
